Fertilizer

Sod Starter Fertilizer
(17-20-0)

Recommended to use when installing sod.
Designed to stimulate root growth to encourage the sod to take root.
High in phosphate
Apply: 1/2 of the required amount of Sod Starter Fertilizer to the topsoil before laying down the sod. The other 1/2 on top of the sod after installation.
Lawn Maintenance Fertilizer
(20-10-10-10)

High in nitrogen
Apply: Every 5 – 6 weeks, beginning early Spring (March or April) and continue through growing season. Water in after applying.
Spring/Summer Fertilizer
(27-5-16 + 3% Sulfur)

Slow release – 50% of nitrogen is polymer coated
Rate of release is primarily temperature-dependent. Water passes through pores in the coating, the warmer the temperature the higher the rate of release. Most will release more rapidly when greater than 21º
High in nitrogen to drive plant growth, recovery and create natural green colour
High in potassium to increase stress tolerance
Fall Fertilizer
(12-23-23)

Best to use in the Fall
High in potassium to increase winter hardiness
Lower in nitrogen
Promoting excessive late-season growth by applying high rates of nitrogen can potentially have a negative effect on turf health
